We’ve nearly made it….just over a week till we leave to be on site at Glastonbury. We went on a site visit the other day with Jamie to check it out and get our bearings. todd went to Jamie’s to dig up some spuds to do raclette experiments and we discussed the finer points of deliveries. Everyone is getting geared up. T shirts are being printed. Counters being painted. Flags being made. Flyers being designed. Favours being begged. It’s….all….absolutely….terrifying…..
the most exciting aspect of all of this for me, is the collaborative aspect and the fact that for our stall, the two key ingredients – potatoes and Ogleshield cheese come from within a few miles of the site. We’ll be serving Orchard Pig apple juice (3 miles from site) and so, you don’t get more ‘terroir’ than that.
We’ve already had some great press – and one of my favourite pieces is this one from Mark Taylor in the Evening Post.
The beautiful artwork above is of course by the stalwart Sam Usher and we have also had shedloads of help from the very beautiful and talented Helen Miller of Miller Design. Our racleteer costumes are being cleverly designed by our new fantastically clever friend Harriet de Winton who we had the good chance to meet while attending Montpelier Basement last month and we’ve got the most amazing bunch of seasoned racleteers you could possibly hope to meet on site.
