Cheese and Beer Tasting at Toast in Bath

Last week we were invited by Toast to do a cheese tasting in their beautiful Bath shop – to show the cheese behind the Diary of a Cheesemaker on Toast Travels. It was a really lovely evening – and I have to say the cheese and the beer looked like they had ‘come home’ when paired with Toast tableware!

We had about 30 guests – all stalwart Toast lovers with an obvious penchant for cheese. In fact, it turned out that one of the tasters used to work in the kitchen at Harvey Nics in Bristol – one of our longstanding wholesale customers – and knew our cheese well.

We ran the tasting with our very own Ben Ticehurst and the very brilliant Andrew Cooper from Bristol Beer Factory who brought along 5 beers, including the recent collaboration (with Arbor ales) brew.

All cheese and beer combinations worked wonderfully for everyone and the milk stout with the Stichelton was I would say the all round favourite.
