Dartmouth Food Festival

Loved being in Dartmouth this weekend for the food Festival. The weather was more than kind to us. Bright blue skies provided a beautiful backdrop to the vibrant autumnal Devon countryside and the sunny, country/seaside chill was a great appetiser for toasties and raclette.

Our wonderful team of multi-talented racleteers (Sam and Arthur) did us proud – as did Ben who did our mini Cheese School  talks  on Saturday with Fiona Beckett (who’s first weekly appearance in the Weekend Guardian was also on Saturday) and on Sunday with Suzy Atkins. It was also nice to have cashman John on site who as well as helping a little bit, was just enjoyable to look at, in his ‘open all hours’ coat and his ladies dairy hat.

We had a lovely evening with friends on saturday – cooking up some of the wonderful seasonal produce we’d foraged from the festival, while looking out over the moonlit marina.
